Directly overseeing an engineering function of around 30 including managers and engineers (plus numerous external vendors) developing tooling, infrastructure, smart contracts and decentralised applications.
As part of the leadership team you ll work closely with the Co-Founder of Tezos and have the opportunity to shape the technical roadmap, drive innovation, and ensure the robust development of our blockchain technology. You ll be pivotal in driving Tezos towards mainstream adoption, fostering collaboration and technical excellence along the way.What you ll doProvide strategic direction and mentorship fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability across the engineering functionDefine and execute the engineering strategy in alignment with the Tezos Roadmap and objectivesChampion delivery focus and general operational and executional excellence whilst being rigorously customer centricStay on top of emerging technologies and trends within the blockchain and cryptocurrency space, selecting technologies and tools to optimise performance and scalabilityCollaborate closely with other senior leaders including Product, Marketing and Commercial to foster strong cross-functional partnerships in the delivery of high-quality solutionsEstablish and enforce data-driven quality standards and best practices for software development, including code reviews, testing, and performance monitoringDrive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise development processes, tools, and methodologies.Own the management of resources, budgets, and timelines effectivelyWhat you ll needStrong technical background with extensive experience as a software engineer building complex solutionsProven track record of success as a manager of managersExperience leading large scale complex projects concurrently with the ability to prioritise effectively and deliver high quality solutions within deadlinesPrior experience working with Blockchain technology or an in depth interest/understanding of itExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of the senior leadership teamWhat you can expect from usGenerous LTIP tez token scheme
