Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a game designer
- 3 or more years as a 3C’s and/or combat designer
- Experience designing and tuning 3D action gameplay in a shipped title
- Significant experience working with an established game engine (Unity or Unreal)
- Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, pitch, implement and iterate 3Cs and/or Combat game systems
- Strong collaboration skills
- High level of comfort working independently
- Significant awareness of current trends in gameplay and game systems (3Cs and Combat)
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal Fluent in English
Bonus
- Experience designing cross-platform games (PC and Mobile)
- AAA experience is a plus
- Experience in an entire development process, from Pre-Production to Post-Launch
Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, iterate and optimize 3C’s systems and gameplay to provide high-quality, responsive and memorable experiences for our players in both single and multiplayer contexts
- Work in partnership with cross-functional teams (art, animation, programming) from prototype to ship to post launch as needed on designs
- Develop and present design intentions to the Game Director and relevant stakeholders
- Provide concise and clear design documentation for cross-functional and production teams
- Use iteration, playtests, and metrics to discover opportunities to strengthen and refine designs
- Participate in design discussions and playtests
