  • Ideal Candidate Background Includes:

  • Previous work history within construction, maintenance, electrical, cybersecurity, telecommunications, manufacturing, OR other computer-related fields

  • Experience in a Helpdesk or similar IT role or a proven ability to provide a high level of skilled support

  • Intermediate computer skills and a good understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), inventory management systems, and machine monitoring software

  • Relevant technical experience in commercial or industrial fields

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Ability to meet GMI Background and Drug Screen requirements

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Ability to lift 40-60 lbs. and perform strenuous physical tasks

  • Superior communication skills with the ability to interact, converse, and share ideas effectively with a wide range of people, internally and externally

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversight of servers, equipment maintenance, and inventory management
  • Monitor and diagnose downtime issues to ensure efficiency
  • Installation and maintenance of equipment
  • Ensure daily safety and operational efficiency of the facility
  • Conduct regular inspections on key electricity, network equipment, and ASIC machines
  • Promote loss prevention with safety/risk management policies
  • Deterrence of power outages or malicious attacks
  • Monitor the site’s video surveillance and security system
  • Report key metrics of Mining Farm operations
  • Communicate tasks such as progress, plans, timelines, requirements, etc.

No experience is required- training will be provided! Open to diverse backgrounds within the construction, maintenance, electrical, cybersecurity, telecommunications, OR other computer-related fields. Self-taught, tech-savvy individuals who enjoy hands-on troubleshooting and have a passion for technology are encouraged to apply!

As an Apprentice, you can learn a skill set that will grow with your career. Training is provided and no cost to you.

This Apprenticeship opportunity pays $16 per hour, depending on experience.

2 shifts are available:

  1. 4:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. shift, Monday-Friday
  2. 12:30 a.m.-8:30 a.m. shift Tuesday AM -Saturday

About the Employer: GMI Computing is a data mining venture with a mission to secure the Bitcoin blockchain. GMI is dedicated to advancing the adoption of blockchain technology by providing high-speed service for blockchain applications.

Maintenance Technicians will support daily operational activities at the Data facility including installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and monitoring hardware.
